Nick Guess and Nick Hale (not pictured) brought home distinguished awards. Guess took first place in the 18-29 year old mens, Beginner Sparring and second place in the 18-29 year old Beginner Weapons. Hale took first place in the 14-15 year old Fighting.

Students of American Martial Arts recently brought home some trophies after competing in the Regional Sports Karate Circuit Middle Tennessee National Championships in Smyrna, Tennessee.

Zack Malone picked up a trio of awards, including second place in Fighting in the 14-15 year old intermediate boys, third place in the intermediate Forms, and fourth place in the Intermediate to Advanced Weapons.

Pat Edge brought home a third place trophy in the Black Belt Fighting 50 and over division and fourth place in Weapons 40 and over.

Robert LaFrance also earned three awards winning second place in Weapons in the 30-39 year old beginner division, fourth in Forms in the 30-39 beginner division, and third in Fighting in the 30-39 year old beginner Sparring.

Jayde Nokes took first place in the 10-11 year old girls' Sparring.

Kathy Duggin took third place in the 14-15 year old girls' Intermediate Sparring.
